Forza Horizon 5 Getting Started Tips

Forza Horizon

Forza Horizon 5 brings the long-running open-world racing franchise to Mexico for the first time, and it’s a sight to behold. FH5 boasts massive graphical improvements over its predecessor, a more accommodating campaign with branching paths and a solid narrative, the largest Forza car list to date at launch, and a slew of other quality-of-life enhancements to tie it all together.

Graphic Settings

Players on the PC are accustomed to customizing their visual settings, but in the case of Forza Horizon, there is an option to be made on the Xbox as well. You must choose between the Quality and Performance modes.

Quality mode reduces the game’s frame rate to 30 frames per second while also enhancing the water and vegetation effects. As you barrel through the countryside in performance mode, water droplets lose their transparency and there’s less foliage. However, you will receive 60 frames per second as a result, so it may be well worth the trade-off for you!

Set up your controller.

If you’re a wheel player, you’re well aware of the importance of getting the settings just right before you start racing. This time, though, controller players will need to make some adjustments as well.

Forza Horizon 5 comes with an unusual controller layout for Xbox. If you’re a serious racer, you’ll want to make sure the gear down button is set up right away. Both the brake and accelerator pedals have significant deadzones. You’ll need a larger range of input for each if you’re disabling the driving aids. These options can be found in the menu under “Advanced Controls.”

Learn how to use Drone Mode.

You can find Drone Mode in the Creative Hub section of the menu. In Forza Horizon 5, Drone Mode is really beneficial. You’ll be able to capture incredible film, go deeper into locations to ensure you have all of the extra boards, and spot those tough barn finds! There are fourteen incredible abandoned vehicles located in Mexico.

Fast Travel

This is something you should perform as soon as possible in the game. The Mexico map is quite extensive, and going from one event to the next can take a long time. Because story chapters are often in opposite corners of the map, you’ll be driving for miles just to get to the next stage.
