Everything we know about Halo TV series: Trailer, cast, Paramount+, and more
Finally, fans of Microsoft’s legendary Halo series have something to rejoice over. We finally got our first teaser after years of trying to get a TV show or movie off the ground, and the anticipation is rising.
For years, Halo fans have been anticipating the day when the iconic computer game would be adapted for the big screen. Instead of a film, the FPS will get its own TV show.
Steven Spielberg serves as executive producer for Showtime’s Halo series, which was first announced in 2013. Since then, production has shifted to Showtime, where it has been in development for four years, until a 10-episode season was authorized on June 28, 2018.
Fans were concerned about the show’s future while it stopped, but that fear is now dispelled as everyone has had a peek of what’s to come.
Apart from that and a few casting specifics, there isn’t much else we know at this time. Last year, a trailer was released at The Game Awards, and while it featured iconic characters like a slightly odd-looking Thunderhawk, High Charity, and Chief himself, it didn’t reveal much about the plot other than the fact that the series will most likely revolve around the events of the first three games.
The series appears to be exploring John’s past and time as a child in the Spartan training program, though we won’t know for sure until it airs later this year or when additional information become available. Regardless, here’s everything we know about the Halo TV series for now, including cast members, leaked photographs, and development data.
Is there a release date for the Halo TV series yet?
We now know that the first Halo episodes will be released in 2022 and will be available to stream exclusively on Paramount+. While this may appear to be a bit ambiguous, it nonetheless gives us additional information about the project, which has been plagued by delays.

Yes. He is, indeed. He’s been verified at every turn, and we already know who will play him. Master Chief will be played by actor Pablo Schreiber. You might recognize Schreiber from his portrayal as dockworker Nick Sobotka in season 2 of The Wire, or from recent shows and films such as American Gods, Skyscraper, and Orange Is the New Black. He stands about 6’5″ tall, according to IMDB.
